Contact Reel Wake Marine, LLC

Call 503-867-6471

Calling is fastest, and a lot gets sorted on the phone before anyone drives anywhere — sometimes the whole problem. Below is what to have ready when you ring.

Licensed & insured · Serving Columbia County, both sides of the river

Boat broken right now?

Call 503-867-6471. If we can get to you today, we'll say so; if we can't, we'll say that instead of booking you and hoping.

If the boat is drifting or somewhere hazardous, call a tow first — whoever you're covered by, BoatUS and Sea Tow being the usual two on this water — and get it to a dock or ramp. We'll meet it there.

Request service

There's no form to fill in and no ticket queue. You call, and you get the person who'll be doing the work.

Have these to hand and it takes two minutes:

Two things that speed this up enormously

1. Take a photo of the engine model tag.
It's a metal or printed plate — on an outboard, usually under the cowling or on the transom bracket; on an inboard, on the rocker cover or the block. It carries the model and serial number, and with those we can check parts availability and the right service specs before we arrive. Have it on your phone when you call and we'll tell you where to send it. One photo often saves a whole visit.

2. Describe what it's doing, not what you think is wrong.
"It cranks but won't fire, and it was fine last weekend" is more useful than "I think it needs a carb." Symptom, when it started, and what changed — that's what narrows it down.

Photos of the actual problem — a leak, corrosion, a damaged skeg or prop, a smoke colour — are worth a lot too.

Not sure what's wrong?

Start with the symptom rather than the repair:

What happens next

1. You describe what the boat is doing. Not what you think is wrong — what it's actually doing.
2. A few questions narrow it down, and some of it gets solved right there on the phone.
3. We book a time and tell you what coming out costs before you commit. How a job gets priced.
4. We come to the boat, diagnose, and quote before any work starts.
