There are no reviews on our Google profile yet. Rather than pad this page
out with something that isn't true, here is what we'd rather be judged on until
there are — and how to check any of it for yourself.

No reviews yet — and we'd rather say so

We're new, and we haven't asked anyone for one yet. When they arrive they'll
appear here and on the Google profile, verbatim, good and bad. Nothing on this
page will ever be written by us, edited by us, or bought.

In the meantime, the things on this site that you can check are the ones we
would want checked: the diagnostic pages tell you when a job is not worth
paying for, the pricing page says plainly what changes a number after it has
been quoted, and the phone is answered by the person who does the work.

If we've already done your boat, you can be the first.

What to judge us on until then

We say what we don't do. No fibreglass, no aluminium welding yet, no
upholstery. It's on the about page rather than left off it, because
finding out on the day wastes your time and ours.

We say which certifications have lapsed, and why. Factory school at
MasterCraft and at Volvo Penta; both certifications have expired and the
reason is written out in full. The training doesn't expire. The
paperwork does.

We'll tell you not to spend the money. When a motor isn't worth saving, or
the fix is ten minutes with a screwdriver, you'll hear that instead of a quote.
Several pages on this site talk owners out of work.

You get the price before the work. Diagnosis first, quote second, and if the
job moves outside it, work stops and we call. How a job gets priced.

You get the same two people every time. Zach and Javier — whoever
diagnoses your boat is who fixes it and who picks up the phone next time.

If we've worked on your boat and you're happy with how it went, a review
genuinely helps — for a mobile mechanic it's the main way people in this area
find someone they can trust, and right now we have none.
