Supra & Moomba Wake Boat Service
Supra and Moomba come out of the same builder with meaningfully different equipment levels, and ordering the wrong part because someone assumed they were identical is the most common way these jobs go sideways.

Same house, different specification
Supra and Moomba share a manufacturer, and a good deal of engineering with it. Supra is the premium line; Moomba is the value line. For an owner that's mostly about equipment and fit-out. For a mechanic it's about knowing which differences are cosmetic and which are structural to the job.
What transfers: engine platform, general layout, drivetrain architecture, most diagnostic logic, and the failure patterns that come with the category.
What doesn't: ballast capacity and plumbing runs, surf system hardware, control interfaces, and trim levels — all of which vary by line, model and year.
Why that matters practically: parts are ordered against your specific boat, not against the badge. A pump, valve, actuator or sensor that fits one may not fit the other, and the difference isn't always visible in a catalogue.
Tell us the line, model and year when you book. On these two in particular it decides what we bring — and it's the difference between one visit and two.
Indmar power
Both lines run Indmar marinised V8s — Supra's engines carry their own branding, but the platform underneath is shared with the wider category.
Same wear points as every wake boat engine: exhaust manifolds and risers, raw-water plumbing, and cooling under sustained low-speed load. Engine service detail · why wake boats work engines hard.
The value-line reality
Moomba owners in particular tend to be pragmatic about cost, and that's worth respecting rather than working around.
We'll tell you what's necessary and what's optional. Not every recommendation on a wake boat is urgent, and a boat that gets used forty hours a season has a different priority list from one doing two hundred.
We'll also tell you when deferring is a false economy — bellows, impellers, anodes and winterisation are the items where saving now genuinely costs more later, regardless of how much you use the boat.

FAQ
Do you service both Supra and Moomba?
Both. Same builder, shared engineering, different equipment levels.
Is a Moomba just a cheaper Supra?
Broadly the relationship, though the differences are real — ballast, surf hardware and controls vary, which matters for parts.
What engine is in my boat?
Indmar, on both lines. Engine detail.
Why do you need the model year?
Because equipment specification decides which parts fit. Ordering to the badge is how the wrong component arrives.
My ballast has stopped working properly. Expensive?
Usually not — pumps, valves, sensors and connectors account for most ballast faults. More on ballast diagnosis.
I don't use the boat much. What can I skip?
Less than you'd hope. Bellows, impellers, anodes and winterisation are age-driven rather than hours-driven, and they're the ones that get expensive when deferred.
Do I need a dealer?
For warranty, yes. Outside warranty we're usually quicker.
Can you work on it on the lift?
Yes — best access available on these boats.
